More legal action taken against Cloud Construction

Kyrenia council has currently taken legal action against Cloud (Bulut) Construction Company. The company is owned by Temel Bulut (see above).

The basis of the action is the unauthorised road built by Cloud Construction on their Lavinium site. This road has been declared both unlawful and dangerous and the council has subsequently closed it. It is however the only passage for the apartment owners on the site and is causing them great difficulties.

Cloud Construction has recently taken out newspaper advertisements declaring that their one bedroom flats on the site are complete and ready for sale. However, Kyrenia Council Governor Mehmet Envergil has publicly stated that these apartments do not show on any approved architects plans and have never been approved. Interestingly, he also says that council employees have been doing checks on the major development and that there are no such one bedroom apartments on the site.

Project architect Erhun Koryigit has declared that his project drawings and approvals were for two and three bedroom apartments but never any single bedroom apartments.

Now Iktisat Bank has taken out a petition at Kyrenia court against the company. The petition cites the non-payment of loans taken out by Cloud Construction and requests permission to sell the flats which the bank holds as security against the loans.

The loans provided by Iktisat Bank amount to just over TL 3.5 million and are well past repayment dates.
