Cloud Construction faces further legal action

Cloud Construction company has been in the news many times in Turkey and the TRNC. The company, owned by Temel Bulut (pictured above), claims to build “dream”housing projects. However, it is constantly involved in legal disputes and has been fined for making illegal electricity and water connections to its sites.

The company’s prestigious Gumus City apartment project in Istanbul is a case in point. Despite having official permission to build 116 apartments, the company sold 1,200 apartments, decimating the savings of those who were defrauded.

Here in the TRNC, Cloud Construction has been selling properties on its Kalamis Houses project. However, the project remains only as a piece of land in Catalkoy which is, in fact, mortgaged to a local bank.

The company then used the deposits obtained to start work on its Lavinium Project in Dikmen, in the Bogaz area.

Apartments being built on the site have, again, been heavily marketed and sold. Despite the promise to build an access road to the main road, no such road has been made. Instead, Cloud Construction built a narrow minor road connection which the residents have had to use.

Kyrenia Council have surveyed this access road and declared it illegal and have notified the residents that they will be closing it down. The council are now taking legal action against the company.
