The TDP party met for the first time since the elections of June 28th. During this meeting there were a number of significant resignations.
The party leader, Mehmet Cakici, along with the general secretary and the chairman resigned.
Mr Cakici reminded the party members that he had promised to resign if the TDP party did not make significant progress in the elections. As the party showing had been stagnant he now felt obliged to resign.
