The trees were planted as part of a protocol between Turkey and the Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The Turkish Minister also said that that forestry planting efforts were not only restricted to open tracts of land, but added to enhance recreation areas.
Eroğlu added that places such as the shrine of Hz. Omer and Hala Sultan Theology College were also areas where trees were being planted as part of the cooperation protocol.
