Dutch airline company Corendon Airlines, in cooperation with Akmina Travel, will restart flights to the TRNC as of 6th May.
The company had launched chartered flights to North Cyprus in 2010, but stopped in 2015 citing bureaucratic problems.
Corendon Group’s product Manager, Ufuk Mestan told Kibris Gazetesi that during the summer months they will bring tourists twice a week from the Netherlands and once a week from Belgium, adding that during winter they will only run flights from the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Kibris Gazetesi also reported that seventeen travel agents from Switzerland, who visited the TRNC, hosted by Akmina Travel Club, held a meeting with tourism minister, Fikri Ataoğlu.
In statements during the meeting, the Swiss tourist agents praised the island’s landscape, sun and climate and said that the tourists whom they will send to North Cyprus will enjoy their holidays.
