After three years in power, the UBP government lead by Prime Minister Kucuk, was toppled yesterday by the passing of a motion of ‘no confidence’.
Now there is speculation as to who will form an interim government until early elections are held on July 28th.
Prime Minister Kucuk resigned today and President Eroglu has now to select one of the other party leaders to try to put together an interim government. The chosen person will have 15 days to complete this task. If he cannot do so, then the President will select somebody else to take on that responsibility.
Parliament will meanwhile, meet once a week on Thursdays to continue with its duties.
All working committees will also continue with their functions until the elections.
