At noon today there was a serious traffic accident on the main road from Nicosia to Kyrenia.
A Mercedes car with number plates 222 veered across the road and completed a number of somersaults. On hitting the road verge it burst into flames.
Police have just arrived and are investigating. There is no news, so far, of the driver’s condition.
