The new coalition government was sworn in on Monday during a ceremony which saw the newly formed cabinet of the centre-left Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and the Democrat Party (DP) taking their positions.
Sibel Siber, the outgoing prime minister, told reporters that her party had tried to do the best it could for the people and the country but that there are many things that still need to be done.
Leader of the CTP, OzkanYorgancioglu praised Mrs Siber’s efforts but added that the new coalition would attempt to raise people’s morale even more.
