Leader of the DP party Serdar Denktash was taken ill during a live TV programme.
The incident occurred yesterday as Mr Denktash was participating in a live programme on Kibris TV. After about half an hour into the programme, Mr Denktash said that he was feeling unwell and hurriedly left the studio.
He spent some time resting in the TV building and then drove home in his own car.
A DP party spokesman said that he had been seen by a doctor and had had a short rest. He has recovered sufficiently to continue electioneering for the elections which take place this Sunday, 28th July.
