The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced that a contract to undertake road works for the Derinya checkpoint has been signed.
Road works under this contract will cover only the section of the road on the TRNC side of the crossing and are planned to be completed in five months.
The project, which will cost around 930000 euro will be fully funded by the European Union.
The tender for the Lefke border crossing has been re-launched and will close on Friday 5th August 2016.
