Special envoy Espen Barth Eide’s office is hiring an economy consultant to assist on the financial aspect of a Cyprus solution.
Eide became the latest appointee as UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s Special Adviser for Cyprus in 2014. His role is to facilitate negotiations between the divided communities of Cyprus.
Last week, an in-depth study programme was launched to look into funding a Cyprus settlement. The IMF, World Bank and EU institutions will focus on preparing the ground for a reunited island.
