President of the European Council Donald Tusk arrived in Cyprus late on Thursday night on a two-day visit.
Today, Tusk will meet President Nicos Anastasiades at the presidential palace after which they will make statements to the press.
Talks are expected to focus on the Cyprus issue, economy and the island’s role in the region. After the meeting Anastasiades will then hold a lunch in honour of the Council President.
In the afternoon, Tusk will cross through the Ledra Palace for a meeting with Turkish Cypriot President Mustafa Akinci and will then leave the island later on today.
