A Thomas Cook flight approaching Larnaca airport on Wednesday evening hit severe turbulence, resulting in four cabin crew members being injured.

Reports say that four of the flight attendants on the packed aircraft from Manchester, struck the roof of the aircraft. They were rushed to Larnaca General Hospital in ambulances that were standing by. Two remained in hospital overnight. One was a 60 year old male with back injuries and a female (50) who sustained a pelvic fracture.

There are no reports of passenger injuries, however some were treated for shock by the ambulance crew.

The plane returned to Manchester this morning.
