Former employees of the now defunct Cyprus Turkish Airlines (CTA) staged another protest outside the offices once used by CTA in Nicosia.
According to a statement from airline union Hava-Sen, that despite promises by the prime minister and his deputy on 23rd July that former CTA employees of the Cyprus Aviation Services would be “taken care of”, so far there they have received nothing.
The debt-ridden airline closed down in 2010 with employees being promised payouts of $28 million, only $8.7 million was available at the time. The remainder to be paid over the year.
