Support for the Taksim Square supporters was again evident in the TRNC.
Demonstrations in front of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia began on June 1st and continued today.
Thousands of people marched from Kugulu Park to the embassy. Most of the participants appeared to be university students but also present were NGO’s and unions.
Elsewhere today, there was a silent demonstration at the Ataturk Cultural Centre in Nicosia.
A competition for Young Artist of 2013 was organised by the Office of Culture. Some of the competition participants entered in T shirts with slogans supporting the Taksim Square protesters.
